BBC analyst Mark Bright has quit his Twitter account after complaints over him posting a chant mocking England skipper John Terry.
The former Crystal Palace and Sheffield Wednesday striker tweeted this on Wednesday morning: "Chelsea wherever u may b Don't leave ur wife with john terry". The chant went on to make accusations about Terry's mother and father before ending "And he cried when he missed a penalty".
But a short time later Bright posted this follow-up message: "After 4,362 tweets, 6984 followers, apologies to JT & Bridgy if offended, error of judgement from me, thank u all 4 the banter, im gone".
The chant has since been removed from Bright's Twitter page, but an earlier posting is still active, which reads: "Cappello told Bridgy I've spoken to JT and he's lost the armband, can you have a look under the bed pls. I know but gotta keep smiling."
