Frank Lampard last night took the pee out of John Terry's obsession with superstitions.
The Chelsea midfielder revealed that his captain's bizarre pre-match rituals even stretch to Terry needing to have a wee in the right place.
Lampard joked: “I know John likes to have a wee in the right hand side urinal!
"If I’m standing there and I’m ready to go but I see John coming up, I’ll move - you’ve got to have your captain right for the game! "
Terry has spoken many times about his amazing list of superstitions behind Chelsea's success - sitting in the same seat on the team bus, listening to the same CD and parking in the same spot in the car park.
The England skipper even revealed he ties his tapes around his socks three times and cuts his tubular grip for his shin-pads the same size for every game.
Speaking in Chelsea's in-house club magazine, Terry confirmed Lampard's story about only being able to wee in the right place.
Terry said: “It’s true. When the dressing room was installed, for some reason I could only go there. And the foreign lads don’t really get why I’m waiting behind them when there’s plenty of spaces elsewhere!”
Terry also revealed that new manager Carlo Ancelotti went beyond the call of duty when called upon to sing a song as part of the traditional initiation ceremony at the club.
He said: “To be fair to him he got up straight away but I can’t remember what he sang. Even when his wife came to say hello to him at a Champions League hotel, he got her up on a chair and singing in front of the lads – so fair play to him!
"She sang an Italian song – and was quite good actually. I think she was up for ten minutes!”
Terry and Lampard also admitted they share an ambition to be the Chelsea boss.
Terry said: “Would I want to come back and be Chelsea manager? Listen, I’d love to. Me, Frank and Ashley Cole are looking into doing our badges at the end of this season.”
Lampard added: “We’re at least going to look into doing our badges by the time we pack up, put it that way. Then it’ll be a fight to see who can be Chelsea manager first!”
