John Terry may talk his way into a switch with Man City

John Terry has been told by Chelsea to break his silence as the Stamford Bridge hierarchy prepare to do the unthinkable and sell the England captain.
While Chelsea insist they want Terry to stay and see out the rest of his career in SW6, the club are aware the issue will overshadow new coach Carlo Ancelotti's unveiling this morning.
And as Blues keeper Petr Cech last night admitted Terry could be tempted by Manchester City's limitless budget, Chelsea were coming round to the idea of cashing in if the Eastlands outfit lodged a £40million bid.
While Terry has long been seen as the heartbeat of the Blues and remains the player closest to the supporters, senior Chelsea figures accept he is not universally loved within the dressing room.
And with some doubts over the long-term condition of his back adding to the disquiet at Terry's reluctance to publicly dismiss City's £30m approach, the next 48 hours could prove decisive. And while Cech believes that Terry will stay, even with City willing to offer a staggering £300,000 a week, the keeper conceded the captain could be going.
Cech said: "Sometimes people want to have a chance to have new challenges and new adventures.''
Terry will come under pressure to state he does not want to go to City. If he will not make the vow, Chelsea will reluctantly open proper talks with Mark Hughes' outfit.
