FA to monitor Terry situation as he joins up with England squad

John Terry will today discover if there is an internal backlash against his continued presence in Fabio Capello’s England squad following his involvement in football's latest racism row.
Terry was selected for the friendly double-header with Spain and Sweden despite the on-going police and FA investigations into the allegations against him.
While Capello announced Terry would not play in the first match at Wembley on Saturday, he has been given the all-clear to restore Terry to the captaincy for next week’s game with the Scandinavians.
But FA officials will keep a close eye on how Terry is welcomed into the fold by his fellow squad members when he arrived at the squad’s Hertfordshire base at around 6pm this evening.
Anton Ferdinand is understood to be meeting police this morning to discuss the controversy at the offices of his representatives in London.
