Ashley: I didn't hear Terry 'abuse'

John Terry's Chelsea and England team-mate Ashley Cole is believed to be ready to tell the FA he did not hear the captain racially abuse Anton Ferdinand.
Football's governing body are investigating the Sunday incident in which Terry was seen apparently mouthing "f***ing black c***" at the QPR defender.
Cole, who can be seen on TV footage walking past Terry while he shouts towards Ferdinand, is set to be called as a witness but will say he heard nothing.
Terry is believed to be claiming that he did use the offensive phrase, but was only repeating it after Ferdinand accused him of using it earlier on.
But sources close to the Loftus Road star say he is baffled by that and had no knowledge of any racial element to what was said until after the game.
Terry is said to have called both Anton Ferdinand and his brother Rio to give his side of the story but both have refused to take his call.
