Juande Ramos wants £7.5million compensation from Tottenham Hotspur

Juande Ramos has lodged a staggering £7.5million claim for compensation after Tottenham axed him.
The Spaniard and his advisers are demanding 75 per cent of the remainder on his £4m-a-year contract, which was due to expire in 2011.
Spurs are left facing a total compensation bill well in excess of £15m for sacking Ramos and assistants Gus Poyet and Marcos Alvarez, as well as sporting director Damien Comolli.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy must also fork out £5m to Portsmouth after appointing boss Harry Redknapp to save the crisis club from relegation.
It is an astonishing amount of money considering that Ramos left the club rock bottom of the Premier League - and has been offered an instant return to management with Shakhtar Donetsk in the Ukraine.
Ramos, also a target for Atletico Madrid, was first approached by Shakhtar on October 10 but turned them down flat to stay and fight at White Hart Lane.
Privately, he is bitterly upset at the way his dismissal came about and convinced that senior players led a revolt which eventually forced him out.
His agent Gines Carvajal has confirmed that Shakhtar have made Ramos an offer as they prepare to sack Mircea Lucescu after a poor start to the season.
But Carvajal said: "The main question is to resolve the financial situation with Tottenham and then we can think about the future."
Levy will reveal record profits on Thursday and Ramos's legal team is arguing that part of that is down to them winning the Carling Cup under him, their first trophy in nine years.
Sevilla president Jose Maria Del Nido last night pledged to continue his legal action against Spurs after reporting them to UEFA and FIFA for allegedly making an illegal approach to Ramos last year.
