Kevin Keegan hoping for a 'wow' signing after draw with Manchester United

Kevin Keegan is hoping Mike Ashley conjures a "wow signing" to boost Newcastle after a spirited draw with Manchester United.
Ashley promised corporate box holders at St James's Park last week that he will swoop for a top class star to spark up Keegan's attack, with Argentine international Javier Saviola a target.
And Keegan said: "A wow signing? I am looking forward to that very much! Now he has said it.
"Saviola? That would be nice for starters. Dennis Wise, Tony Jiminez, Derek Llambias, we are working really well together to get quality players in.
"I definitely expect one or two but I don't know what the wow signing could be. I can't wait to ring him and ask when I get home.
"Too often in the last few years Newcastle have got players in who have not been quite good enough..they've not settled or not understood what it is to play for Newcastle United.
"The three we have so far are right men, and the next three we get have got to be too.
"It is a shame he told the corporate members first, before letting me and Terry Mac know but that is ok!"
Keegan hailed his new boys Jonas Gutierrez, Fabrizio Coloccini and Danny Guthrie for their debuts as the Geordies "had a go" at the champions.
He added: "I don't think it has been that difficult a summer. The fans will judge everything with their own eyes. We had 11 players committed to the cause. They have seen three new player who have come to play for Newcastle in the right manner. That journey won't seem quite so long tonight.
"We have a point where people didn't think we would. Now we have got to build on it against Bolton because our home record was not what it should be for Newcastle.
"Gutierrez was fantastic. He is a real team player. From the minute he came to the club the boys accepted him straight away. He has been a man not a boy about the place. And so has Coloccini. He only had one training session with the group.
"From the minute we came here I didn't expect us to do anything apart from what we did, give a really good account of ourselves. We got a performance from everyone. You show them that video in the week and how hard they worked and say do it again.
"We had a go. We had the courage to play. You need a bit of luck and you need the top players to have a game. Shay kept us in it. We were unlucky to lose the lead, Steven Taylor was off the pitch when they scored.
"A draw was the right result, and they are still a great team."
