Kevin Keegan wins second massive payout from Newcastle

Kevin Keegan has won a second devastating court victory over Mike Ashley.
The ex-boss has been awarded £1.5million in legal costs, on top of the £2million settlement he won earlier this month for constructive dismissal.
Ashley and Newcastle were condemned yesterday for making “entirely unfounded allegations against Mr Keegan“ during a Premier League Arbitration hearing that decided Keegan was forced out of his job at St James’s Park.
The ruling from the Premier League tribunal stated: “We direct that the club should pay Mr Keegan’s costs on an indemnity basis given the manner in which it conducted this litigation: its defence on the primary liability issue was, in our view, wholly without merit.”
The tribunal also awarded Keegan interest on the damages dating back to 4 September 2008.
Ashley claimed Keegan walked out, but Keegan gave evidence that he was told to sign winger Ignacio Gonzalez against his wished as a “favour to a South American agent“ and by watching him on YouTube.
