Jamie Langfield today expressed his desire to extend his Aberdeen contract.
The 29-year-old Scotland international's current deal expires in the summer of 2011 and he is keen to avoid any uncertainty over his future that would arise by allowing it to run down into its final year.
He told the Evening Express: "The ideal situation for me would be to sign a new deal with Aberdeen FC now."
