Manchester City are ready to sell Swiss midfielder Gelson Fernandes to French side Lens - and hope to claw back £2.5million from the deal.
Fernandes has found it hard to get into Mark Hughes's side after arriving as one of the first captures during predecessor Sven Goran Eriksson's spell at Eastlands which began in 2007.
However, the 22-year-old international is admired by Lens, who are trying to get the money together to buy him and pick up his contract.
