Liam Lawrence has held showdown talks with Stoke boss Tony Pulis after losing his first-team spot.
Republic of Ireland winger Lawrence, 27, is unhappy at the Britannia Stadium after losing his place on the right of midfield to Rory Delap.
And the fiery ace, who joined from Sunderland in November 2006 after a bust-up with Roy Keane, has had a meeting with Pulis.
The Potters manager has made it clear he wants Lawrence to stay and fight for his place.
But the pair have agreed to review the star’s situation in January when the transfer window opens as Lawrence wants regular first-team action.
Meanwhile, Stoke have let striker Dave Kitson go on loan to Championship Middlesbrough as revealed by Mirror Sport on Monday.
