King Kenny will get Carroll singing - Shearer

Kenny Dalglish has been backed as the best person in football to get Andy Carroll scoring again.

Alan Shearer, who enjoyed his most prolific spell under Dalglish at Blackburn, insisted the Kop boss’s know-how would pay off.

“If there is one guy who’ll get the best out of Andy it will be Kenny,” said Newcastle legend Shearer.

“He’ll be able to pass on all the experience and know-how he has gained.

"Andy hasn’t had the best of starts to the season, but I’m sure he will come good.”
