Hodgson says sorry to Rafa over squad slur

Roy Hodgson has apologised to Rafa Benitez after the Spaniard's latest astonishing rant.
Former Liverpool manager Benitez, 50, launched a blistering attack on his Anfield successor Hodgson earlier this week.
Benitez hit out after Hodgson criticised him for leaving a big and unbalanced squad.
Hodgson, 63, also claimed the ex-Anfield chief marginalised club legend Kenny Dalglish.
And Benitez, now at Inter Milan, snapped back furiously when he arrived in England to face Spurs in the Champions League.
A bewildered Hodgson responded: "If I have upset him by saying something which I didn't mean to be in any way critical or negative about his work at the club then I will happily apologise.
"There was never any intention on my part to do that."
Hodgson refused to get drawn into a slanging match with Benitez adding: "As far as I am concerned I will work at Liverpool and do my best for Liverpool and he will work and do his best for Inter Milan."
