Liverpool fans are threatening the Royal Bank of Scotland with a boycott, unless they withdraw loans that are underpinning the club's American owners.
Campaign group the Spirit of Shankly is behind a protest that has inundated the bank with e-mails warning of mass action, after claiming the club's financial future under George Gillett and Tom Hicks is unsustainable.
The Americans have borrowings amounting to more than £237million from the British government owned bank, and fans are demanding public-funded support of a regime they despise is withdrawn.
