Liverpool need perfect season to win title, says Rafa Benitez

Rafa Benitez has told his players they cannot put a foot wrong if they are to win the title.

Table-topping Liverpool go into tonight's clash against Portsmouth with a three-point lead.

But they failed to beat Stoke at Anfield and Benitez knows Pompey must leave empty-handed.

"It has to be almost perfect if you want to be at the end of the season at the top of the table," said the Liverpool boss.

"Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal won't lose many games. You can say one of them might make mistakes, but all three at the same time? That's very difficult to see."
