Benfica to sign Liverpool midfielder in cut-price deal

Liverpool are ready to sell French midfielder Damien Plessis to Portuguese giants Benfica in a bargain £600,000 deal.
Plessis has been on the fringe of the Anfield side for the past couple of years but is now one of many who can leave to raise funds for new faces.
And champions Benfica have taken a major interest in Plessis who will be allowed to go - but with the Kop seeking a fee rather than a loan arrangement.
