Real Sociedad planning move for Spanish Liverpool star

Real Sociedad are on the trail of Liverpool's young Spanish sensation Dani Pacheco.

Pacheco is starring for Spain at the Under-19 Euros in Normandy and has been hailed as the new Xavi because of his passing ability.

He broke through into Liverpool's first team last season and Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay has confirmed they are chasing the teenage forward.

"It is true that Real are interested in him and he is a player we have watched a lot," said Aperribay. "I'm not going to comment on the conversations we have had or not had not with Liverpool, but there is interest."

Sociedad hope Roy Hodgson may be tempted to offload Pacheco as part of his overhaul at Anfield and feel he would be a huge success back in Spain.
