Man Utd make £10m bid for Cardiff City's Aaron Ramsey

Manchester United have upped their offer for Cardiff City teenager Aaron Ramsey to £10million to head off a late move by Liverpool.
Sir Alex Ferguson is bidding £5m up front for the midfielder, but insiders have revealed extra performancebased payments could double that figure.
Fergie is also prepared to loan the 17-year-old back to Cardiff for a season to make Bluebirds boss Dave Jones even happier as he plans a promotion campaign.
The offer is aimed at blocking an attempt by Rafa Benitez to snap up Ramsey - who will be in the squad for Wembley today - after learning he used to support the club.
Ferguson's initial bid - and the offer to leave him at City for a season - had already edged out Arsenal. Chelsea have backed off, as have Spurs and Villa.
