Kolo Toure's future at Manchester City is up in the air after he was dropped from the squad for today's massive game at his old club Arsenal, according to a report.
The 31-year-old is said to be stunned by the snub, which was not explained by manager Roberto Mancini.
Observers feel Toure has been made the scapegoat for the 3-3 home draw with Sunderland last week that put a major dent in their title hopes.
The story adds that while Toure kicks his heels in Manchester, Joleon Lescott will return from injury to partner Vincent Kompany in central defence in City's must-win trip to the Emirates.
Toure has only one season left on his City contract and the piece adds that megabucks Russians Anzhi Makhachkala are keen to bid for him.
