Didi Hamann claims Manchester City have no chance of qualifying for the Champions League this season - despite being the world's richest club.
City have spent around £75million since the takeover by their megarich Arab oil owners, including the capture of Brazilian Robinho for £32m.
But since then, 10th placed City have won just once and taken only four points from a possible 15 in the Premier League.
The midfielder said: "People have got carried away with the players we've got. But there's still a big gap between us and the top four."
