Roberto Mancini claims he is proud of Manchester City's team England.
England finished with six City players against Switzerland on Tuesday for the first time ever and Mancini was delighted his players did so well for the Three Lions.
It was a proud moment for City and no-one was more pleased than their Italian manager.
"I was very proud," said Mancini. "It was fantastic for the club because to have six players in the England team is an incredible situation for us.
"All of them played very well. England played well in a difficult game against Switzerland and the City players played very well.
"The situation has changed and six City players playing for the national team has never happened before. It's important that we have good, young players who can play for England for a long time."
Mancini also urged Carlos Tevez, who is struggling to face Blackburn tomorrow because of a hamstring injury, not to quit playing for Argentina.
Mancini claims it is important his stars play international football to maintain their development.
"It's important for a fantastic player like Carlos to play for Manchester City and the national team," he said. "The national team is always important."
