Young warns United to beware of Spurs backlash

Ashley Young is anticipating a backlash after Tottenham were hammered 5-2 at Arsenal a week ago.
The United winger knows what it is like to be on the wrong end of a huge scoreline in a derby after Manchester City’s 6-1 win at Old Trafford.
He said: “I think you expect a reaction from any team that has been beaten like that.
“They are going to be at home and they will want to turn around that defeat. We know they are going to be up for the game. Everybody has setbacks but the way you respond is important. We responded magnificently after the defeat to City.
“We looked forward and never looked back.”
Young is full of praise for Spurs boss Harry Redknapp – and can see why he has been linked to the England job.
“When Harry took over, they were near the bottom and he has taken them right up the league,” said Young. “He is a great manager, that’s obviously why he is being tipped for the England job.
“Tottenham have done magnificently. They have been pushing us top two Manchester clubs all the way. But if we show the confidence we have shown, I am sure we can get the result. On the road this season we have done fantastically but we know it is not going to be easy.”
