Carrick: Nobody at United blames me for City semi-final gaffe

For Michael Carrick the coming weeks are all about redemption rather than recrimination.
The Manchester United midfielder may have made the FA Cup semi-final mistake against bitter rivals Manchester City that cost Sir Alex Ferguson’s men their Treble dream at Wembley 15 days ago.
But rather than dwell on what could have been, Carrick’s sights are now set on a Premier League and Champions League Double.
Carrick said: “The mistake against City wasn’t a nice experience. We had to bounce back – me and the team – and we have done that against Newcastle, Everton and Schalke.
“But the great thing is there is no blame culture here. You must help each other get over things.”
