Sir Alex Ferguson has challenged his players to stay top of the Premier League until the end of the season and clinch an historic title triumph.
United, chasing a double record of a fourth straight title and a 19th in all, take on arch rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday in a must-win game for both sides.
And with United holding a two-point advantage over Chelsea, who crucially have a game in hand, Fergie laid down a challenge to his United squad.
"It's a goal of ours to stay top of the league, because I think staying top of the league at this stage of the season, we'll be difficult to knock off," said Fergie.
"We're much better on the injury front, better than we were last week. Ryan Giggs is back in training, Jonny Evans is back and Rafael Da Silva is back
"I think everybody expected Liverpool to be better this season but they're not, and the challenge for them, along with other teams, is to get fourth spot.
"That race for fourth seems to be a league of its own. You can say with some certainty that ourselves, Chelsea or Arsenal will win the league this season.
"But no-one can say with any certainty who'll finish fourth. It seems to change every week, with Liverpool, Tottenham, Manchester City and Aston Villa all in there."
