Ferguson accuses Liverpool in Suarez row

Sir Alex Ferguson has accused Liverpool of defying the FA by "drip-feeding" information on the race row between Luis Suarez and Patrice Evra.
The FA asked both clubs not to make any comment on the episode, which has seen Suarez charged with racially abusing Evra, until the it has been resolved.
Ferguson claimed United abided by the FA's directive but accused Liverpool of failing to do so, a move which has angered the Old Trafford boss and senior figures at the club.
"We have been asked by the FA not to say anything about the Evra situation and we have abided by that," said the Scot.
"I think Liverpool have been drip-feeding a lot of stuff out in the last couple of weeks but, at the end of the day, the FA will deal with that.
"It's up to the FA to decide on that, not for us. I understand that they want to protect their player, he's an asset, you can understand that.
"But we're just abiding by the FA."
Ferguson also hit out at Brighton boss Gus Poyet for defending fellow Uruguyan Suarez, and criticising Evra, over the racist allegations levelled at the Liverpool striker .
"I'm more surprised by Gus Poyet's remarks," said Ferguson. "I think that's inappropriate at the time when people throughout the world are condemning racism and I think he's chosen the wrong time.
"I can understand he wants to support someone from his country, but he's got to think more about it.
"I don't know how the question was loaded to him, but it seems his criticism of Evra is a bit silly."
Ferguson also backed United defender Rio Ferdinand, for his Twitter criticism of FIFA chief Sepp Blatter, following his controversial remarks on racism.
"Rio knows the parameters of what we allow him to go and discuss," he said.
"As long as it is not anything related to Manchester United, he can twitter as much as he likes.
"Blatter has apologised, and that's where it lies for me. It's always nice to apologise."
