Lindegaard WILL play again this season, insists Fergie

Sir Alex Ferguson has denied claims that Anders Lindegaard's season is over, insisting he will play again before the end of the campaign.

United initially claimed Lindegaard would be out for "four to six weeks" when he injured knee ligaments in training at the beginning of February.

However the Danish international has suffered a setback in his recovery and Ferguson says they have given him a week off.

"He was training very well and maybe overdid it," said the United manager.

"We have given him a week off, given him a rest break for a week. But he should be back before the end of the season."
