Gary Neville attacks Man City for trying to buy success

Manchester United veteran Gary Neville has taken a thinly-veiled swipe at Manchester City for trying to buy success.
Despite his well-documented hatred of Liverpool, Neville admits he respects the Anfield club's history and tradition in comparison to City.
"When I was younger there was no doubt about it, I was a United fan, Liverpool were winning everything and it was a horrible time for the club to be honest through the Seventies and Eighties," he said.
"I suppose it comes from jealousy through my childhood. But I have more respect for them as a club in a sense of their tradition and their history than I would do some of the other clubs that have been coming on the scene in the last few years, throwing a load of money at it.
"They have got a good history, you have to hand it to them for that, and they have been successful."
