United to escape punishment over Bellamy attack

Manchester United look set to escape punishment from the FA over the coins and bottle thrown at Craig Bellamy.
The Manchester City striker was hit on the back of the head by a coin, while a glass cider bottle narrowly missed him, during last night's heated Carling Cup semi-final at Old Trafford.
The FA will study referee Howard Webb's findings and the other various reports from the game, but it is believed they are happy with the swift action taken by United's stewards and the police.
The police and stewards moved in straight away and arrested a fan on suspicion of throwing the items at Bellamy.
The FA are also believed to be satisfied with the beefed-up security arrangements for the tie and accept that the club and police did everything they could to prevent such an incident.
