Man United eye Buffon in Berbatov swap deal with Juve

Despite Dimitar Berbatov's agent's claims that his client will not be leaving Manchester United, reports in Italy continue to link the Bulgarian with a move to Serie A.
Emil Dantchev said: "There's simply nothing to say. He will stay in Manchester. All the talk of a move is false."
But now Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport is reporting that Berbatov may be on his way to Juventus, with long-time Manchester United target Gianluigi Buffon coming the other way in an exchange deal.
Berbatov has endured a difficult time since moving to Old Trafford from Tottenham in 2008, but looked to have found some good form at the beginning of this season when he scored seven goals in his first six games.
But since then United's record £30.75million striker has not netted in his last nine appearances and he appears to be falling down the pecking order at the club with Wayne Rooney and now Javier Hernandez apparently ahead of him.
Meanwhile United boss Alex Ferguson has been searching for a new goalkeeper all season with current No.1 Edwin van der Sar set to retire at the end of this campaign.
The club are expected to complete a deal for Danish keeper Anders Lindegaard in the next few weeks, but with reserve stopper Tomasz Kuszczak also expected to leave at the end of the season, the deal would not rule out a move for Buffon.
