Fergie plotting sneaky 'carrot' loan deal for Tom Cleverley

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will find a club for young midfielder Tom Cleverley when he comes back from America this week.

Fergie has alerted four or five interested teams that the England under-21 prospect can go - and he will help him make the choice in the next few days.

The United chief wants Cleverley to find a home where he will play - and also be in a footballing set-up that suits his game.

Shrewd Fergie may also plant him at a club where he could eventually do a deal for one of his long-term targets and give Cleverley out as a 'carrot' for a future United signing.
