Marouane Chamakh last night admitted he will face the biggest test of his career when he moves to England to join Arsenal.
Bordeaux striker Chamakh has agreed a five-year £50,000-a-week contract with Arsenal and will move to the Emirates this summer, as first revealed in Mirror Sport.
But Chamakh says it will not be easy for him to adapt to the Premier League and refused to talk specifically about Arsenal because he is focused on Bordeaux’s Champions League campaign.
Moroccan centre forward Chamakh said: “I have always wanted to play in the Premier League and any striker wants to meet that challenge and play in the league.
“I am prepared for a move even though I am completely focused on helping my current club. That is more important than my personal situation.
“It is not easy in England but the challenge in my career has always been to learn every day, keep improving and always help my club to success.”
