St Johnstone manager Derek McInnes insists no-one at the club was panicking about their early season results in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.
But, having now notched up their first league win against St Mirren on Saturday, the Saints boss has urged his players to embark on a winning run.
"We had a good performance against Rangers at Ibrox and we had a good opening day at Tynecastle, where we picked up a point playing with 10 men, and it was a really solid performance," he said.
"We were unlucky to lose a late goal against Aberdeen and we had a good cup win against Morton. So we had played well up until the Motherwell game and I didn't think we had a bad performance in there.
"We were doing a lot of good stuff but I still expected more from us and I got that reaction against St Mirren. I was delighted to get the win but I don't think anyone here was panicking, we will leave that for other people.
"We are delighted with the win and hopefully can kick on from here."
