Middlesbrough set to land Dave Kitson on loan from Stoke

Middlesbrough are set to confirm the loan signing of Dave Kitson next week.

The Stoke City striker, 29, has flopped at the Britannia Stadium following his £5.5m move from Reading last season.

He has only managed two Premier League goals for Tony Pulis' side.

Now Boro have agreed to pick up Kitson on loan until January.

New Middlesbrough manager Gordon Strachan believes the former Reading target man will be an ideal forward to boost his struggling attack in the Championship.
