Unsettled star Mido has been told to forget leaving Middlesbrough.
The £6million striker has been linked with a loan move to Wigan after a frustrating start to the season, which has also alerted German side Hamburg.
But Boro boss Gareth Southgate has held talks with the Egyptian, 25.
And Southgate declared: "Mido wants to play regularly but he's aware no club can guarantee him that.
"He wants to have a think, but he can think about it all he likes.
"I doubt we'll add to the squad before Monday's deadline so I don't intend to lose any players."
