Milan win thriller

AC Milan ensured the gap between themselves and Serie A leaders Inter Milan remained at seven points by claiming a thrilling 4-3 win over Cagliari at the San Siro.
Clarence Seedorf gave the hosts a fifth-minute lead but Alessandro Matri replied and Andrea Lazzari gave the Sardinians a deserved lead after half an hour.
But two goals in as many minutes earned Milan the half-time lead with Marco Borriello and Alexandre Pato on target. A penalty by Ronaldinho gave the Rossoneri a two-goal advantage in the 62nd minute before Nene reduced the arrears in the 69th minute.
Juventus regained second spot in Serie A with a 1-0 home victory over Udinese. Fabio Grosso scored the only goal of a game which marked the season's debut of Alessandro Del Piero, after a lengthy injury absence for the Bianconeri captain.
Francesco Totti returned from injury and struck a hat-trick in the first 28 minutes for Roma in an impressive 3-1 victory over Bari.
Sampdoria moved back up to fourth after a 2-1 win over a Chievo team who played with 10 men for the entire second half.
Nico Pulzetti headed a late winner as Livorno secured a valuable three points in their mission to avoid relegation with a 2-1 victory over Genoa.
Siena remain rooted to the bottom of the standings after going down 2-0 at home to Atalanta, their ninth defeat in 13 games.
Lowly Catania fought back to claim a 1-1 draw in the Sicilian derby against Palermo.
Napoli's unbeaten run at the Stadio San Paolo continued but they were unable to break down Lazio and shared the spoils in a goalless draw.
