Monaco's 27-year-old Brazilian forward Nene has claimed Spurs and Roma are vying for his signature.
No official offers have been made yet, but the Moncao star told Brazilian newspaper Jornal do Brasil that he expects developments in the next few days.
"I have had contact with representatives of those two clubs (Tottenham and Roma).
"They asked Monaco about my situation and about the chance of buying me."
Nene previously played for Spanish sides Real Mallorca, Alaves and Celta Vigo before moving to Monaco last summer.
He believes he made a good impression on current Tottenham manager Juande Ramos when the Spaniard was in charge of Sevilla.
"I always played very well against Sevilla and I created some goals," he said.
"This should have left Juande with a good impression and now my name is on their list of signings."
