New York Red Bulls plan audacious transfer raid for Barcelona ace

Thierry Henry is a target for New York Red Bulls, who have revived their interest in the former Arsenal captain.
Barcelona striker Henry, 32, is still a regular at the Nou Camp and is set to lead France’s attack in their World Cup play-off with Republic of Ireland.
But Red Bulls believe they may be able to tempt Henry into leaving Barca at the end of the season even though the French striker still has another year left on his contract.
Henry has spoken about his desire to come back to the Premier League and yet has made it clear he is not interested in a move to Manchester City. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger also believes he has a future as a coach.
But New York Red Bulls believe he would be just as big a success in the MLS as LA Galaxy's David Beckham.
Henry is nearing the end of his career but may still take a lot of tempting to leave if he still feels he has a future at Barcelona beyond this season.
