Newcastle misfit Fabricio Coloccini set for Spain return

Newcastle misfit Fabricio Coloccini is a target for a cheeky bid from Espanyol.

The Spanish club are ready to sign Argentine defender Coloccini but are only willing to sign him on a free transfer and just cover his £50,000-a-week wages.

Newcastle have told Espanyol they only want a permanent deal and the Spaniards are now ready to go back with an offer to take him on a season-long loan deal.
