Bent: I will not waste another England chance

Darren Bent has told Fabio Capello that he won’t waste another chance to show he can be England’s goal getter.
The Aston Villa striker missed an open goal near the end of June’s 2-2 Euro qualifier with Switzerland at Wembley that should have handed Capello’s side maximum points.
Bent, 27, admitted: “It was disappointing. I’d back myself to score 10 times out of 10 from there, but it didn’t happen that time. There would have been times before when I’d have thought about it for weeks and weeks. Now I just put it out of my head.
“That is something about me growing as a player and a person. I can accept that now and just focus on the next one.
“As a striker, you’ll miss every now and then. The next chance and game, I’ll take it. No problem.”
