Nicky Butt and Shola Ameobi embroiled in Newcastle pay dispute

Nicky Butt and Shola Ameobi are stalling over new Toon contracts because of a "discrepancy" over wages, according to boss Joe Kinnear.

"They are all still negotiating with Dennis Wise," said Kinnear. "They have had two or three meetings. But I know there is a discrepancy as far as wages are concerned."

Butt could emerge as aWigan target, but would like to stay at St James'.
