Paul Lambert has tabled a £1.75million bid for Huddersfield winger Anthony Pilkington as he prepares to splash more Canaries cash.
Norwich boss Lambert is ready to make Pilkington, 23, his fourth summer signing after making an offer to the Terriers late last week.
Pilkington is rated at £2million by Huddersfield and is also admired by Norwich’s Premier League rivals Stoke and Wolves.
But Lambert has made the first move and wants to tie up a deal for the versatile midfielder in the next few days.
Norwich have already forked out around £7m to recruit Steve Morison, James Vaughan and Elliott Bennett following promotion to the Premier League.
And Pilkington is the latest target for Lambert as he bids to build a squad capable of competing in the top flight.
The former Stockport player broke his leg in the game against Rochdale in March but will be fit for the start of next season.
