Norwich boss: Rangers' Holt bid was not even close

Grant Holt will again spearhead the Norwich attack against Bolton after turning down a transfer window move to Scottish giants Rangers.
And Canaries manager Paul Lambert is backing Holt to now score 20 goals this season.
Celtic legend Lambert said: “I think everybody wants to play in the Premiership and Grant Holt is no different.
“To be honest, the Rangers bid was nowhere near our valuation. But I told Grant what was going on and he gave absolutely no indication that he wanted to go and talk to them.
“If he had, it might have been different. A move to Rangers might have been attractive to a lot of players, but they are not as strong as they used to be.
“Holt has waited a long time to get to the Premier League and it’s great for him to be playing here, considering where he has come from.
“So while it was a flattering offer for him, I never expected him to want to leave.
"Mind you, if it had been Celtic, I would have driven him up there myself!”
Holt, 30, has already scored nine goals and Lambert is confident there’s plenty more to come.
“He has done great and I would love him to score 20 or more," said the Scot. "He is a typical, old-fashioned number nine but I think he has a bit more about his game than that. He has stepped up and he is thriving on it.”
Lambert is backing his team to bounce straight back after their midweek battering at Sunderland.
He insisted: “That defeat hurt everybody, but I’ve got absolutely no worries about these lads. These players have never let me down and they will just pick themselves up and go again.
“I’m not going to let one defeat weigh me down so we will just let it go as quick as anything.
“I could give you nine million reasons why we lost at Sunderland, but the bottom line is we just got done.
“We got beat by the better side and now we have to come straight out of the blocks and rectify it against Bolton.”
