Hitzfeld holds talks with Fulham over manager's job

Ottmar Hitzfeld is the latest big name to challenge Sven Goran Eriksson's bid to manage Fulham.
The Swiss coach, 61, is one of just three managers to win the Champions League twice and has also won nine league titles with Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Grasshoppers Zurich.
Eriksson has been the favourite to succeed Roy Hodgson at Craven Cottage ever since he resigned as coach of the Ivory Coast.
Talks have broken down over the Swede's wage demands which are believed to have exceeded the £1.5million salary on offer.
Hitzfeld is understood to have held talks with Fulham chief executive Alistair McIntosh, who has also spoken to USA coach Bob Bradley.
Both men had been expected to extend their contracts with their national teams following sound performances at the World Cup.
But the chance to manage in the Premier League with a club that reached the final of last season's Europa League is understood to have interested both men enough for them to give Fulham due consideration.
