New Manchester City signing Pablo Zabaleta turned down an offer from Juventus to move to the Premier League.
The Argentina international joins City in £6.5million deal after agreeing a four-year contract that could seal the departure of Vedran Corluka to Tottenham.
And right-back/midfielder Zabaleta, 23, revealed: "City's offer was impossible to reject and not only because of the money.
"The Premier League is a paradise for players. Juventus also wanted me but I wanted to come to England and to City.
"City scouts watched the Argentina matches at the Olympics and decided to do the deal."
