Scharner warns Wigan over second-half collapses

Paul Scharner has warned his Wigan team-mates to sharpen up – or face relegation.

Robeto Martinez’s troops have failed to defend a lead seven times this season, dropping four points in their last two matches after going ahead against Sunderland and Stoke.

Midfielder Scharner said: “It’s the second half where our problems lie. We can’t seem to sustain our performance over 90 minutes.

“That should be our focus because we’re in the middle of a relegation battle.”
