Five key issues Roy Hodgson must resolve to get Liverpool back on track

The hard work starts now for new Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson as he attempts to reinvigorate the club after a poor season last term.
But what are the most pressing matters he must deal with? Here are five key issues the former Fulham manager must swiftly resolve at Anfield.
1) Most important of all is to secure the future of his key players, Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres - if they stay - and stay fit - he will surely finish higher than seventh.
2) Raise funds by selling some of the expensive misfits in the squad. If Hodgson is clever in the transfer market, he could have upwards of £40m to spend this summer.
3) Get new owners...and persuade them to keep him on. The key to the long term future of the club is to remove the debt that is weighing Liverpool down, and when they do success will follow.
4) Build a new stadium. Liverpool outperform their rivals commercially, but can't compete on match day revenue because their capacity is almost half that of Manchester United.
5) Bring his squad back together to work as a happy unit, and resolve the tension and infighting that undermined last season - he must make his players believe in him, and what he can achieve at Anfield.
