Phil Brown says Hull can help Michael Owen realise his World Cup dream

Phil Brown hopes to pull off an audacious swoop for Michael Owen by telling the striker he can help him realise his World Cup dream.
Brown will offer Owen a £60,000a-week contract this week but knows he faces a tough task to persuade him to move to Hull from Newcastle.
Owen probably expects a bigger cash offer when he becomes a free agent on July 1, but the Hull boss says they can give him the platform to relaunch his career.
"We will be speaking to his representatives," said Brown. "He's a current England international and he has miles left in the tank as far as I'm concerned.
"I don't think Michael will go for the best financial offer, it's not about that at this stage of his career.
"He needs a high percentage of next season playing at the highest level and that's where we come in."
