Werder Bremen striker Claudio Pizarro has travelled to Munich to receive treatment from former Bayern Munich club doctor Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wohlfahrt.
Muller-Wohlfahrt was employed by Bayern while Pizarro played for the club.
His experience in dealing with sportsmen's injuries has convinced Pizarro to seek him out to try and get to the bottom of a foot injury which has kept him on the sidelines for the past three weeks.
The Peruvian striker will spend the next few days in Bavaria in a bid to get back into full training as soon as possible.
"We want to try all our options to have him back as soon as possible," said Bremen coach Thomas Schaaf on his club's website.
"Therefore, he will continue his rehabilitation in Munich for a week.
"We will just have to see how things look at the end of the week."
