Real Madrid to make £14m bid for Wigan winger Antonio Valencia

Wigan winger Antonio Valencia is a shock £14million target for Real Madrid.
Juande Ramos, who took charge at Real two weeks ago, has revealed that he has given the Bernabeu board a list of Premier League targets. Valencia is a surprise name on that list.
The 23-year-old winger arrived at Wigan, initially on loan, from Villarreal so he knows all about Spanish football. He has proved an outstanding signing for Steve Bruce but keeping him out of Real's clutches may prove impossible.
Real, however, have not yet clinched the £20million signing of Lassana Diarra from Portsmouth. While the clubs have agreed the fee the midfielder's agent has not agreed personal terms and the door is open for Manchester City to make a last-gasp move for him.
But even the Abu Dhabi group who own City may be stunned by Diarra's demands for £120,000-a-week wages plus £30,000 a week in an image rights deal.
