Redknapp to miss Liverpool clash after flight is cancelled

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp will miss his side's Premier League match at Liverpool tonight after his flight from London was grounded.
Redknapp made the dash from London's Southwark Crown Court, where he has been for the last few days facing two charges of cheating the public revenue, to City airport late this afternoon to catch a flight to Merseyside.
However, a technical problem with the plane meant it was unable to take off.
Arrangements were made to obtain a second aircraft but there were issues with scheduling a take-off slot which would have meant the Spurs boss would not have arrived in time for kick-off at Anfield.
Redknapp, who denies the court charges against him, therefore decided to stay in the south and watch the match on television.
His assistants Kevin Bond and Joe Jordan will take charge of the team for the match at Anfield, which is still going ahead despite thick fog at the ground.
Referee Michael Oliver has decided the game will be played as he thinks the fog is clearing.
